Fell & Sell Updates
Steam news from the July demo through launch-day 1.0.2 — no invented events, no fake DLC.
This page is the Steam news timeline for Fell & Sell, from the first demo announcement on 3 July 2026 through the two launch-day hotfixes that closed 26 August 2026. The paid game went live that Wednesday. Version 1.0.2 is the last documented build. There is no later week-one pricing rewrite on the store, and there are no seasonal events in this window — if another wiki invented those, they are not from Art Games Studio’s Steam posts.
Steam app 4881440 is the demo. It is not DLC. Do not wait on that ID for expansion content. The full game is app 4627110.
Read Demo vs Full Release if you still have a July save. New keybinds, Tab-hold, and FOV sit on Controls. The July 29 zone names are expanded on Dungeon Biomes. Hardware numbers live on System Requirements. Whether the launch build is worth the asking price is the job of the Review. Strategy pages sit under Guides.
How this log is organised
Each heading is a Steam post date. Demo patches applied to the free build. 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 shipped the same calendar day as 1.0. If you bought on launch morning, verify you are on 1.0.2 before you file a bug about blocked dungeon paths, missing demo furniture, or an FOV slider that stops above 40.
3 July 2026 — Demo coming 10 July
Art Games Studio set the demo date: 10 July. Two promises in that post still matter after you buy the full game. First, demo progress carries over — loot, coins, and the shop you already built can follow you into 1.0. Second, anyone who played the demo would receive exclusive furniture. That reward did not always appear in inventory on the first 1.0 build; 1.0.1 had to grant it properly.
10 July 2026 — Demo Out NOW
The free build opened. You leave a roadside cabin, fight Shallow Dungeon skeletons, craft a bench and a broken sword, tag prices, and talk to customers to pick up coin. Grandma’s inheritance is the story hook. Empty tables sell nothing. Death still drops unbanked loot. That is the loop later biomes wrap around, not a throwaway tutorial.
12 July 2026 — Demo Update #1
Weekend traffic found the first blockers. This hotfix:
- Fixed NPC colliders, so customers and townsfolk stop walking through furniture and walls.
- Clamped map bounds so you cannot wander out of the playable area.
- Corrected furniture bonus calculation, so Comfort and related shop bonuses add up the way the UI claims.
- Stopped an item duplication exploit.
If your July shop suddenly felt more honest about decoration bonuses, this is why.
13 July 2026 — Demo Update #2
A larger quality-of-life pass, and the origin of several binds you still use:
- A full keybindings menu.
- Right-click to change the price of an item already sitting on a table, without picking it up.
- Save delete via the trash icon beside a slot.
- A confirm prompt when you start a new game, so you do not overwrite a file by accident.
- A save safeguard when you leave or die in the dungeon, so the file is less likely to vanish mid-run.
- Shop buffs carry into the dungeon, so decoration is not shop-only flavour.
- Crafting blocked when overweight, so you cannot spend gold and mats on a recipe that then disappears.
- A boss-room exit collider, so you can actually leave the arena after the fight.
15 July 2026 — Demo Update #3
The demo stopped feeling like a one-and-done campaign slice:
- Unlimited dungeon re-entry after the demo story beat. Finishing the short plot no longer locked the stairs.
- Armor rack placement stopped being fussy.
- Customers began buying upper armor and helmets, not only weapons and junk.
- Fake legendary recipes on the boss chest were removed.
- Demo-only recipes stayed locked, so the free build could not craft full-game exclusives.
That last point is why a July file never contained the whole crafting tree. Carry-over is real; it is not a complete 1.0 catalog.
16 July 2026 — Demo Update #4
- Traditional Chinese joined the language list.
- The studio apologised for save corruption, then added extra save and quest safeguards.
- The cart location was fixed after the shop cart spawned or sat in the wrong place.
If a July file still has a stuck quest or a missing cart after this patch, start a new 1.0 save instead of fighting a corrupted flag. The studio already told you that path exists.
24 July 2026 — Release date 26 August
Steam’s date locked: 26 August 2026. Store copy from this post forward points at that Wednesday, not a vague window.
29 July 2026 — Biomes preview
The studio named three underground layers. Each zone ends in a boss; beating that boss is how you step into the next biome.
- Shallow — demo home, skeletons, first shop loop.
- Overgrown — nature reclaiming stone, goblins.
- Darkest — low light, necromancers, harder undead.
This is the full-game ceiling the demo could not show. It is not a later seasonal overlay.
21 August 2026 — Demo 2.0
The last large demo drop, five days before launch:
- Destructible dungeon rooms.
- Roughly 30–40% more FPS.
- More customers in the shop.
- Comfort affects neighborhood traffic — decorating changes who walks in, not only a hidden combat number.
- Cheaper crafts.
- A transaction scroll on the counter.
- Double-tap dash on the movement keys.
- Location nameplates.
- An alt-tab crash fix.
If the 10 July demo felt sleepy on the street and heavy on the GPU, 2.0 is the build that changed both.
24 August 2026 — Demo 2.0.1
- Furniture now places from scrolls, instead of hauling a physical chair through a doorway.
- Toggle sprint and toggle crouch in options.
- Hold Tab to open inventory and status, so a tap no longer dumps the menu mid-fight.
Those three habits are 1.0 defaults. If you last played in mid-July, re-learn Tab before you blame a broken inventory key.
26 August 2026 — OUT NOW
The paid game launched. Exclusive furniture for demo players is still part of the deal. Art Games Studio recommends a brand-new save so you see the full intro, biome gating, and economy from the first cabin. Carry-over is allowed, not required.
Controller support was not ready. The launch post said full gamepad mapping would follow in one or two days, because the first implementation broke other systems. Until that follow-up lands, treat the game as keyboard-first and use the rebind menu on Controls.
26 August 2026 — Version 1.0.1
Same-day hotfix:
- The demo furniture grant actually appears in inventory.
- HUD bars display correctly when a stat goes above 250, instead of jittering or clipping.
- The FOV slider moves toward a floor of 40.
- Translation fixes.
If you launched on 1.0.0 and never saw the exclusive piece, update before you assume the reward is missing. The grant is meant to persist even on new playthroughs once 1.0.1 has run.
26 August 2026 — Version 1.0.2
Second same-day hotfix, and the current documented version:
- The dungeon generator no longer seals the only passage on a floor.
- Freeze on floor load is fixed.
- Doors stay open after you open them.
- An overweight / overload weapon swap drops the extra weapon instead of destroying it.
- Equipping from a stack takes one item, not the whole stack.
- FOV 40 actually works. 1.0.1 promised the floor; 1.0.2 makes the slider reach it.
- Audio sliders route attack, drop, and dash onto the effects bus instead of music.
- More localization strings filled in.
If a dungeon floor has no exit, a door slams behind you, or a swapped sword vanishes, you are not on 1.0.2.
What this page refuses to invent
No seasonal dungeon modifiers, limited shop skins, or holiday furniture drops were announced between 3 July and 26 August. No post-1.0.2 first-week patch rewrote high-tier pricing on Steam. When a later patch exists, it will get a dated heading here. Until then, 1.0.2 is the end of the log.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
When was the last update?
Version 1.0.2 on launch day, 26 August 2026. It followed 1.0 and 1.0.1 the same Wednesday. No later Steam patch is documented here yet.
Is Steam app 4881440 a DLC pack?
No. 4881440 is the demo. The full game is app 4627110. Do not wait on 4881440 for expansion content.
Does Fell & Sell support a controller at launch?
Not on day one. The 26 August launch post said full gamepad mapping would follow in one or two days because the first implementation broke other systems. Use keyboard until that patch lands.
Where is my exclusive demo furniture?
You need version 1.0.1. The 1.0.0 launch build did not always grant the piece into inventory. Update, then check the bag even on a new playthrough.
