Fell & Sell Forest Foraging Guide
The forest has a mind of its own. Adapt or perish.
Not all loot comes from the dungeon. The Living Forest behind your shop is a dynamic secondary environment that offers lower-risk foraging opportunities alongside genuine dangers. This guide covers every forest event, how to forage effectively, and how to survive when nature decides to fight back.
The forest versus the dungeon
The dungeon is structured and predictable. You know roughly what you will face on each floor. The forest is the opposite — events occur semi-randomly, forcing you to adapt in real time rather than execute a planned route.
The trade-off: forest loot is generally lower value than dungeon drops, but the risk of total loss is lower. The forest is a good supplement to dungeon runs, not a replacement.
Goblin raiding parties
Goblins periodically raid from the forest. They are weaker than dungeon skeletons but appear in groups and can overwhelm careless players. The key to handling goblin raids:
Do not engage unless you need to. If you are foraging and a raiding party appears, your first option should be to move away. The forest is large enough that most encounters can be avoided.
Engage on your terms. If you must fight, choose terrain that limits their ability to flank you. Narrow paths and chokepoints negate their numerical advantage.
Target the shaman first. Goblin shamans buff other goblins. Removing them first makes the rest of the fight significantly easier.
Thunderstorms
Sudden thunderstorms reduce visibility and make ranged enemies more dangerous. Lightning strikes can deal damage directly and create environmental hazards. When a storm hits:
Seek shelter near large trees — they attract lightning but absorb hits. Avoid open ground and exposed ridgelines.
Thunderstorms also affect enemy behavior. Some enemies become more aggressive in storms; others retreat. Read the situation before committing to a fight.
Psychedelic mushroom season
This is the most unusual and strategically interesting forest event. When mushroom season activates, the forest fills with psychoactive fungi that alter your perception, enemy behavior, and even some game mechanics.
On the player side: your vision becomes trippy, controls may feel slightly floaty, and some UI elements display incorrectly. This is atmospheric but can be disorienting.
On the enemy side: some enemies become confused and easier to evade; others become erratic and more dangerous. You need to read each encounter in context.
The reward for surviving mushroom season is access to rare fungal ingredients that do not appear at any other time. These are high-value crafting materials.
Foraging priorities
When foraging in the forest:
Herbs and plants are the safest gather — they do not fight back and are always available. Early game, prioritize plant foraging while you build gear for dungeon work.
Wood and stone are building materials for some crafting recipes. Keep a small inventory for recipes you know you will use.
Rare forest drops appear during specific events. Mushroom season is the most valuable. Keep calendar awareness of when you last had a mushroom event and plan to be in the forest during the next one.
Forest survival tips
The forest regenerates over time. If you are taking heavy damage, retreat to your shop and heal. The forest will still be there when you are ready.
Always leave the forest before dark if possible. Nighttime forest events are harder and some dangerous enemies only spawn after dark.

Preguntas frecuentes
Respuestas rápidas a las dudas más habituales.
Is the forest worth doing instead of the dungeon?
The forest is a supplement, not a replacement. Dungeon loot is higher value overall. Use the forest to fill gaps in your inventory, gather crafting materials during events, and build experience without the full risk of deep dungeon runs.
What is the most valuable forest event?
Psychedelic mushroom season. The rare fungal ingredients from that event are among the highest-value crafting materials in the game and do not appear anywhere else.
How do I know when a goblin raid is coming?
There is no guaranteed warning. Goblin raids occur randomly but more frequently when your shop is doing well — the theory is that your success attracts attention. Always be prepared to retreat.
Can I die in the forest?
Yes. While forest enemies are generally weaker than dungeon foes, death in the forest means losing your unbanked haul just like in the dungeon. Treat forest foraging with the same respect for risk.
